|
In this video, Pascal Tremblay, a horticulturist and DIY
enthusiast, shares how he transformed the front of his
home with a beautiful, no-grass garden. While front
yards are traditionally covered in turf, demanding hours
of mowing and upkeep. A fresh, eco-friendly trend is
turning things around. More and more homeowners are
swapping their lawns for lush gardens or vibrant
vegetable patches. And with good reason: these urban
gardens not only offer a touch of beauty and charm, but
they also promote self-sufficiency with homegrown fruits
and veggies, all while staying kind to the planet. |

The trend of no-grass front yard gardens is gaining
ground in many cities around the world. Originally,
lawns were seen as a symbol of social status and urban
cleanliness, but today they are often criticized for
their high water consumption, reliance on chemical
fertilizers, and the maintenance they require (regular
mowing, weeding, etc.).
In response to these
concerns, more and more homeowners are choosing to
transform these spaces into eco-friendly gardens,
vegetable plots, or diverse landscaping designs. This is
the case for Pascal Tremblay, who shares the steps of
his no-grass garden project in front of his country
home. |
