If you have a lawn and want to create a garden bed, did
you know you can do it without removing the grass?
By layering cardboard over the lawn, the grass
underneath will break down naturally and act as green
manure, enriching the soil as it decomposes.
Start by selecting the perfect spot for your bed, taking
into account the amount of sunlight the area receives
and the types of plants you want to grow. |

No-Grass Front Yard Landscaping
Ideas |
|
|
|
The Clever Gardener (Pascal Tremblay)
shares how he transformed the front of
his home with a beautiful, no-grass
garden. While front yards are
traditionally covered in turf, demanding
hours of mowing and upkeep. A fresh,
eco-friendly trend is turning things
around. More and more homeowners are
swapping their lawns for lush gardens or
vibrant vegetable patches. And with good
reason: these urban gardens not only
offer a touch of beauty and charm, but
they also promote self-sufficiency with
homegrown fruits and veggies, all while
staying kind to the planet. |
