We carried out major renovations on our house, which was
built in 1952.
To give it a country-style look,
we decided to build a covered porch with traditional
decorative elements. The period-style porch will wrap
around the house.
Additionally, to take full
advantage of the stunning view of the Saguenay Fjord, we
also built a large raised wooden deck at the back of the
property. Underneath this wooden deck, a storage space
will be added. |

No-Grass Front Yard Landscaping
Ideas |
|
|
|
The Clever Gardener (Pascal Tremblay)
shares how he transformed the front of
his home with a beautiful, no-grass
garden. While front yards are
traditionally covered in turf, demanding
hours of mowing and upkeep. A fresh,
eco-friendly trend is turning things
around. More and more homeowners are
swapping their lawns for lush gardens or
vibrant vegetable patches. And with good
reason: these urban gardens not only
offer a touch of beauty and charm, but
they also promote self-sufficiency with
homegrown fruits and veggies, all while
staying kind to the planet. |
